My relative

My great-great-grandpa was a very rich man but when he was born his family was poor. He worked for a long time as an usual farmer but he could cook very well. He wasted nothing and safed all his money. When he had enough money he sold his house and moved into a town, because the most rich people lived there. Then he opened a restaurant. At first not very much people went into the restaurant and it was difficult to live from the few money. One day a king came for holidays into the town. The king´s favourite restaurant had closed and someone told the king that the food in my great-great-grandpa´s restaurant was really delicious. So the king tested it and was surprised how yummi it was. He gave my relative a very well payed job as personal cook. That way he became a rich man.

A week in Alaska

monday:
I arrived early at the airport of Fairbanks. It was snowing and very cold. I rented a sleigh because the streets were to smooth to drive with a car. I drove to the hotel and went into the room I´d reserved before. There I changed my clothes. Then I went into the city and bought a new warm winter jacket. I decided to make a camping trip. Because of that I bought a tent, eight bottles of juice and water, a sleeping bag, a gas cooker and much canned soup, too. When I had finshed it was 1.00pm and I went into a restaurant. I ate my favourite food: pizza. At about 2.00pm I went into my hotel room and packed my things. With my mobilephone I phoned a guide. He said the next day the camping trip could start at 7.00am.
Because I had to get up early I went to bed at 8 o´clock.
tuesday:
On tuesday I got up early and went to the meetingplace. There I packed my things on a sleigh and we started to walk. The sleigh was pulled by dogs. At about 2pm we made a break. We cooked canned soup with the gascooker and drank a little bit juice. After we packed the cooker and the bottels we continued our trip.
In the evening we packed out our tents and sleepingbags. Then we made a fire and told each other scary stories. At circa 11 o´clock I went to bed.
wednesday:
I woke up early, because I´d heard the guide. He said: "Look there is a moose with his child. It weights circa 700-800kg and is looking for food." I wanted to stroke the moose-child but the others told me that it isn´t allowed. After I´d breakfast we continiued walking again. I saw much interesting animals for example bears, a karibu, reindeers and even an arctic fox. The guide knew a lot about all of the animals and their lifestyle. He could explain very well and I understood the most things. In the evening we were back in Fairbanks.
thursday:
At 4am I flew to Anchorage. I arrived there at ca. 6am. Unfortunately it was bad weather. Because of that I decided to go into a museum. I´m very interested in history so I went to the "Anchorage Museum of History and Art". There I made a guided tour. It was very interesting and informative. When I´d seen all I went into a restaurent to eat something. I ordered fish. Normaly I don´t like fish but that one was really delicious. I payed and went out. To my surprise the weather was sunny. I walked to the resolution park and relaxed there a little bit. In the evening I went on a party and celebrated.
friday:
I slept long untill 10 o´clock. Then I traveld to the Denali-Nationalpark. There I took a few yummi things into a basket. Then I drove by boat on the Spink lake. The environment was fantastic. On the waterside I could see a wolf hunt a caribou. I´d never seen anything like this before so it was a very special experience for me. At noon I made a picnic with the food from the basket. Then I found a fishing rod and fishing equipment in the boat. The whole afternoon I tried to catch a fish. In the end I was lucky and actually caught one but I put it back in the water and let it swim away. In the evening I returned to the hotel.
saturday:
The last day I read an advertising for climbing on the Mount McKinley. Because of that I borrowed climbing equipment and went to the mountain. I hadn´t thought that climbing is so exhausting. I climbed over seven hours but I didn´t reach the top of the Mount McKinley. In the evening I was so tired that I slept at 9pm.
sunday:
In the morning it was cloudy. I went nevertheless outside to "visit" some animals again but I wasn´t lucky and didn´t see one. Because of that I went to the Visitor Access Center to get to know more about Alaskas environment. At three pm my fly back to Germany was. All in all I liked Alaska very much it was only a little bit cold.

A week in Florida

monday:
In the morning at 6 o`clock I arrived at the airport of Miami. I went by bus to my hotel. At 8 o`clock the sun was shining and I went to the beach. There I swam in the Atlantic Ocean. I met two people from Orlando and made new friends. In the evening I accompanied them into a restaurent. There we had delicious Hispanic food. After that we went to a party and I got an invitation from my new friends to Orlando.
tuesday:
On tuesday I made a trip to the Everglades. There I traveled on a boat and saw much alligators. The environment was real fantastic. After the trip I returned to my hotel and arrived there at 5pm. I changed my clothes and went into the city. There I shopped almost the whole night (untill half past one).
wednesday:
I stood up early and drove by taxi to Orlando. I arrived at eleven o`clock and visited my new friends. First I went with them to the Epcot, where we learned much about science. Then we ate something and visited Sea World. I liked it very much because there were so many tropical fishes and dolphins. In the evening I went in the cinema and saw an exiting film. The night I spent by my friends.
thursday:
On thursday I gave my adress to my friends and said them goodbye. I went by train to the Kennedy Space Center. There I visited a musee and made a bus tour on the NASA-grounds. I saw the launchers and the building where shuttels and rockets were built. It was really interesting. Then the busdriver told me that I´m lucky and that I could see a rocket launch. I heard a noise count: "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1..." And the rocket started. It was getting smaller and smaller until I could no longer see. It was phenomenal.
I spent the night in a hotel.
friday:
On friday I planed to relax a little bit. I wanted to have a picnic so I packed my things and for the emergency a tent. I started to walk. On midday I saw a plantation and sat me down in the shadow of an orange tree. I grabbed out my food and began to eat. When I finished I´d ate a cooked egg, a sandwich with tomatoes, cheese and lettuce and one with peanut butter. I decided to pluck a fresh orange from the tree and to search a hotel for the night but I couldn´t find one. Because of that I had to spend the night in a tent.
saturday:
I stood up early and stowed the tent. Then I traveld by taxi to Jacksonville and rented a room in a hotel. After I visited the "Zoological Gardens". I saw about 1000 species from all over the world: giraffes from africa birds from australien and so on... When I finished watching animals it was 8pm. I decided to vistid the town and was back in my hotel at 10pm.
sunday:
On sunday I made a trip on a fishing boat. A men showed how to fish and I tried it myself. It wasn´t so easy how it looked like. But in the end I catched a fish. Fortunately it was so little that I had to release it and it hasn´t to die. When we drove back to the beach the man told a lot about fishing historie. The trip had lasted seven hours. My time in florida finished and I had to travel further.
